Lawn care and landscaping for North Pinellas County
Most of our customers are on a regular maintenance schedule: we come
out, cut, edge, trim and blow off, and the yard stays looking the way
it should all year. Everything below that line is work we take on as
and when a property needs it.
These four go together on every scheduled visit. They are not billed
separately and there is no version of the visit where one gets
skipped to save time.
Grass in this part of Florida does not grow at one speed all year, so
we do not charge as though it does. We set a frequency that matches
what the lawn is actually doing.
A typical year on a North Pinellas lawn. Your property may run differently, and we will tell you if it does.
Time of year
What the grass is doing
Usual visit frequency
Late spring to early autumn April to October
Heat and afternoon storms push hard growth. This is when a lawn gets away from you fastest.
Weekly
Late autumn to early spring November to March
Cooler and drier. Growth slows right down and a weekly cut stops being worth paying for.
Every other week
Any time
Going away, hosting, selling the house, or the yard has just got ahead of you.

This table describes normal practice for the region rather than a quoted
policy. Please confirm the frequencies, the months and whether one off
visits are priced differently, then we will set this to your actual terms.
Beyond the weekly cut
Additional services
Booked on their own or added to a scheduled visit. If you are already
a maintenance customer, most of this can be done while the crew is
there anyway.
Hedge and bush trimming
Hedges, foundation plantings and ornamentals cut back to shape and
thinned where they have got dense. Done properly it keeps light and
air moving through the plant, which matters more in this climate
than it does further north.
Shaped to the plant, not squared off flat
Cuttings collected and cleared
Good time to catch anything growing into the house
Lifting low branches so you can walk and mow under them, and
clearing growth back off roofs, gutters, driveways and walkways.
Worth doing before storm season rather than after it.
Confirm before launch
Please confirm the size limit on tree work and whether full removals
or anything needing a climber is referred out. We will state the
boundary plainly here rather than leave a customer guessing.
Mulch and pine bark installation
Beds topped up with fresh mulch or pine bark. It holds moisture in
through the dry months, keeps the soil temperature down, slows the
weeds and makes the front of a house look cared for immediately.
For a yard that has got well ahead of itself. Overgrown lawn cut
back, beds cleared, hedges brought under control and the debris
taken away, so the property is back to a state a regular schedule
can hold.
You do not have to diagnose your own yard before you call. Tell us
the address and what is bothering you about it, and we will come
out and tell you what we would do and what it costs.
If a job is not one we take on, we will say so on the phone rather
than after we have quoted it.
Common starting points
"I just want it cut every week." Regular maintenance, weekly through the growing season.
"It has got completely away from me." A cleanup first, then a schedule to keep it there.
"I am selling in a month." Cleanup, edging and fresh mulch make the biggest visible difference fastest.
"I only need the hedges done." That is fine, hedge work can be booked on its own.
We will come out, walk the lot and give you a number. No charge for the
visit, no obligation afterwards, and no one will call you again if you
decide not to go ahead.
